I must be honest- i’m starting to get used to the look of crossovers :-(
I dont
like
them per se .It’s just that there are so many around these days that normal cars now look like the odd ones out.
Im not sure what to think of this

You’ve been infected.
You need to check you local Craigslist and take some ‘test drives’ in small, old, quirky cars.

I drive a crossover.
Well, more a tall hatchback, and my last car was a tall hatchback.
Before the Harley Earl age, almost all cars were proportioned like modern crossovers.
For most people, cars are commuting appliances. It’s life and people like them.

We have one and like it just fine. The fact is, we can haul more stuff in it than we can a sedan and since it’s car-based, its driving manners and fuel efficiency are also car-like. We have no kids right now (having one in February but I digress), so a minivan was not needed.
I realize a lot of people buy them for pointless reasons, but they do come in handy. I’ve hauled furniture multiple times in our crossover and have taken it camping and it was quite handy each time.
